Papal Bull.

Smoke from the Sistine Chapel at 10:57 a.m. this morning. Had they chosen a new Pope? No, just burning subpoenas.
Three more Cardinals were scrubbed from the list of candidates for Pope this week due to morals charges. They were replaced by three players from the St. Louis Cardinals.
47 candidates were not allowed to perform the Rite of the Eucharist today. The Church did not want their mouths near the Body of Christ.
Putting the Cardinals in the Sistine Chapel is foolish. Their dead eyes cannot really understand the work of Michaelangelo. It’s like hosting Sesame Street in the Library of Congress.
Some soap company had a nice idea: Pope on a Rope. But they decided nobody would ever buy it. There’s just no way to get a Pope clean.

Wd. like to see your reaction to the choice. I thinkPope Francis might actually bring some humility and humanity to the world at a time when they’rensorely needed. I don’t belong to any organized religion, but I’m just sayin’.

I’m not sure I expect a lot from someone who sat back and watched a brutal junta massacre a good chunk of the Argentine people without a bit more vocal opposition. After all there were courageous catholics making a stink, and they did not become pope. Also, the humanity part is stretched a bit thin when it comes to his compassionate views on gays, women’s rights and a few other salient issues.

one of alfred hitchcock’s movies slowly raises the sound anytime the word “knife” is said until it’s booming over the theater speakers.
all the coverage of the newest pope did the same with “humble” or some form of it. left me wondering if this was branding, marketing, or advertising.
