A retroactive screwing.

Many people think a prosecution of Karl Rove would divert us as a country from getting on with the business at hand. Why then don’t we simply dismantle the entire U.S. justice system — the prison system as well — and use the funds we save to help bail the country out of its mess?
It turns out Bush flexed his executive privilege when we weren’t looking — i.e. before those last few hours when we were all watching to see who he’d give pardons to. Along with White House Counsel Fred Fielding, #43 whipped up a nice scam: letters Harriet Miers and Karl Rove could produce as needed, giving them absolute immunity from congressional inquiry or prosecution.
Public outrage is beginning to show it has some effect. It looks like disgust with Wall Street’s $18 billion in ill-gotten bonuses will force the bastards to put the money back in the treasury where it belongs. And a short while back, Merrill-Lynch’s CEO John Thain changed his mind about taking an $11 million dollar bonus when, in just one news cycle, enough people let their anger be known.
Congress must force a showdown. Arrest Rove for contempt of congress for ignoring his subpoena. Same thing with Harriet Miers. Put those miserable shits on every news channel. Let them wave daddy’s permission slips to skip congress. See what America thinks.
Those Bush assholes loved to make fun of the French. It’s time to remind these criminals that Monsieur Guillotin came up with a useful contraption. Call it the Freedom Blade.
